OSCE Chairman-in-Office visited Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan
The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, visited Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan from 3 to 5 August 2026.
He held official talks with the authorities of both countries and reaffirmed the OSCE's commitment to dialogue, co-operation and comprehensive security. He also met with staff at the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat and thanked them for their dedication and continued commitment.
These two trips mark the first round of visits to the region by the Chairman-in-Office. He will travel to Armenia and Georgia later this autumn.
